Businessman for forwarding and logistics services (m/f/d)

Our goods find their way to customers in a variety of ways: with forwarding companies, by parcel service and, in many cases, with our own fleet of trucks. What is used and when is determined by factors such as costs, speed and the destination.

WSM delivers canopies and fully assembled room systems throughout Germany and to neighboring countries by articulated truck. In the case of oversized items, special transportation must be planned and official permits obtained. Customs regulations must also be observed when shipping to non-EU countries.

Clever route planning ensures that our drivers avoid detours and reach their destinations in the best possible order. Legal requirements such as driving times and rest periods must be observed and taken into account. Even if the route planners are not responsible for traffic jams and the weather, anyone who plans delivery routes must demonstrate strong nerves as a contact person for customers and drivers and always deal fairly and confidently with everyone involved.

Software and the Internet support the work of our freight forwarding and logistics clerks. However, even the best program cannot replace knowledge of geography, logical thinking and a good general education. Knowledge of English helps to overcome language barriers. A careful and independent working style and the ability to make appropriate decisions even under time pressure are important prerequisites that are further trained in practice.

Required qualification: Secondary school leaving certificate or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences

Training duration: 3 years
