RAL 2000 Yellow orange not only leads the list of the orange RAL Colours – since the mid-seventies of the last century at the latest, this colour also adorned the clothing of a certain Chandra Mohan Jain, known by his followers as “Bhagwan”, probably the most famous sect leader of recent times. Hundreds of thousands of people, mostly young Americans and Europeans, followed the spiritually charged and yet trendy yellow-orange to India – no wonder that it has been an integral part of our colourful produce world ever since. Among the most striking orange creations was the legendary “Banana/wheelie bike”, which in the 1970s manifested first in Europe from the USA in the “Raleigh Chopper” version and set teenage pulses racing, the “Fanta” cult soft drink or the E110 yellow orange food colourant.
Whether RAL 2000 Yellow orange or one of its neighbouring RAL colours: orange is considered young, cool, casual and like the hedonistic disciples of the New Age – gone bananas.
