Winter pleasures in late summer
The visitors were astonished as they encountered a perfectly wintry ambient at this year’s “GaLaBau” garden and landscaping trade fair in Nuremberg, and that by late summer temperatures. In order to present its shelters, bicycle parking systems and weatherproof advertising displays, WSM came up with something special and impressively equipped its stand with snow and wind scenery.
“The more protection, the more winter fun,” was WSM´s trade fair motto, and since the enterprise was the only exhibition supplier to anticipate the wet and cold seasons, the audience’s attention and interest was guaranteed: “Our concept really surprised visitors and worked really well,” explains Andreas Hombach, Head of Sales, Bicycle Parking Systems and Shelters at WSM.
Protection against wind, snow and rain – that’s what WSM has been ensuring with its shelters up and down the country for years. For some of its shelters, which are often used as weatherproof rendezvous places or bus and tram stops, WSM now offers approved type statistics that can save builders a lot of time and money.
Also to be seen in Nuremberg: intelligent lighting systems for bus/tram/train stops and reflective glass films for a safe sojourn in dark waiting areas, bicycle parking systems with future-proof e-charging stations and bicycle garages to protect against wind, vandalism and theft. The Information Systems product area featured classic outdoor showcases as well as City Lights, brilliantly illuminated displays for advertising at highly frequented places.
A broad portfolio for up-to-date outfitting of public space was well received: “We have been able to make numerous new contacts with gardeners and landscape designers from all over the German Republic and are therefore very satisfied with our trade fair visit”, summarises Hombach.
The organisers of the fair themselves were also satisfied with this year’s GaLaBau: “The atmosphere at GaLaBau 2016 was just great: full halls and intensive sales talks. GaLaBau has once again lived up to its name as a green industry meeting point,” says Stefan Dittrich, GaLaBau Department Manager, to the press. According to the organiser, more than 64,000 trade visitors were counted, ten percent of which were from abroad.
