Trennwandsystem in Produktionshalle

Demarcation required

Partition walls structure rooms, provide protection against noise, dust and unauthorised access and thus allow the optimisation of the processes that are to take place in them. Variable partition systems are available in many designs and for every purpose.

There is always a need for demarcation where people or man and machine have to work simultaneously side by side. Either in order to be able to work as concentrated and undisturbed as possible or to keep employees separated from emissions, which may also be a requirement of occupational health and safety regulations. For instance, the Annex to the Workplace Ordinance states in point 3.7 “that the sound pressure level in workplaces is to be kept as low as is possible for the type of operation”; that the level, depending on the use and the work to be performed, must be “reduced enough so that no adverse health effects arise for employees.”

Noise affects the ability to concentrate and thus the productivity of those affected while simultaneously increasing the risk of accidents and illnesses. Ear protection or sound barriers such as suitable partition walls and the use of soundproofing elements on ceilings or walls help to remedy the situation. How high the actual noise exposure at a workplace is can only be determined by measuring the actual sound pressure levels. These are differentiated into daily noise exposure levels and peak sound pressure levels.
