On the road for the customer
Our products are often delivered using our own articulated trucks - including on-site assembly. You transport shelters and prefabricated room systems, unload them with the integrated crane and assemble them at the customer's premises. Everything you need to know and be able to do is taught at vocational school, the Training and Further Education Center for Transport and Logistics and in practice.
This is how your assignment works:
The trucks are loaded the day before the journey. We set off at four in the morning - to destinations throughout Germany and in neighboring countries. The tour is precisely planned. On site, the customer's storage or set-up instructions are followed. Depending on the freight, unloading is done by crane. Then the assembly begins: unpacking the object, aligning it precisely with the crane, attaching dowels and, if necessary, providing a power connection. In addition to trips with assembly, there are also pure delivery trips.
What's important:
Every job is different and distances vary. That's why you need to be flexible in terms of time and - as is typical for the job - expect tours lasting several days. However, weekend assignments are not part of the job at WSM.
What you need:
A clean driving record, a class B driver's license, enjoy driving a 40-ton truck, a sense of responsibility, diligence, physical fitness and manual dexterity. You will acquire all other necessary driving licenses and qualifications in an inter-company training course lasting several months.
