Concentrated working in peace and quiet

The healthy workplace: optimum acoustic insulation

With their special wall and floor insulation, suspended ceilings with acoustic panels, carpeting and insulating glazing, WSM room systems create outstanding sound insulation – even in the loudest industrial environments.

They thus provide ideal space for concentrated work at full capacity and for communication without interference with employees. According to the Workplace Ordinance, the sound pressure level must be kept as low as possible, since high noise levels have a negative effect on health. Depending on the activity, a maximum level of 55 or 70 dB(A) is recommended. The integrated noise protection systems from WSM ensure that these limit values are safely and efficiently undershot.

Another important aspect of sound insulation is the reverberation time of the indoor space. Depending on the room volume, a reverberation time of 0.5 to 0.8 seconds should be maintained. The reverberation time significantly influences speech intelligibility and thus communication. Here, too, you receive the requisite acoustic solution with your WSM room system.

Fresh air creates clear heads

The healthy workplace: ideal room climate

Three factors are decisive for a pleasant working atmosphere: temperature, humidity and air quality. Here, a WSM room system creates the best possible environment, from pollutant- and emission-absorbing wall structures to efficient temperature controls and air cleaning equipment. Background: The air temperature in working rooms should be between 20°C and 22°C and should not exceed 26°C at peak temperatures.

Additional effective measures must be taken above 30°C. Above an air temperature of 35°C, the room is no longer suitable as a working room. Air humidity should be at least 40%. Air that is too moist is uncomfortable and air that is too dry can lead to static charging.

The supply of fresh air or air purification is particularly important for vitality. It should be generated by manual airing every hour or automatically without uncomfortable drafts. With a WSM room system, you ensure the best air quality, optimum room temperature and a fatigue-free working environment..

  • Smart control via smartphone
  • Large glass surfaces with optional features such as frosted glass, UV protection etc.

Light animates and motivates

The healthy workplace: intelligent light management

You ensure appropriate lighting at all times with a WSM room system. Numerous studies have demonstrated the importance of correct workplace lighting for mental and physical performance.

Artificial lighting is required by law to provide a minimum illuminance level which, for example, for office workplaces is set at 500 lx. Illuminance should be increased if precision is a work requirement. Furthermore, the illumination must be uniform. The colour temperature of the light also affects well-being. Daylight white light with a colour temperature of 6000 Kelvin is optimal as workplace lighting. This light composition promotes concentration and colour rendering is optimal.

WSM room systems can be optimally adapted to legal and custom requirements. Special LED lighting with light temperature control, brightness control, light sensor, motion sensor for energy efficiency and intelligent glass that protects against sunlight or creates privacy at the touch of a button or sensor ¬– all these options are yours to choose from.

Noticeably relieves body and mind

The healthy workplace: modern ergonomics

One of the most common causes of sickness-related absences is long-term damage caused by incorrect posture. That is why the ergonomic design of the workplace is elementary. For WSM room systems, the interior design is planned by an interior designer according to the latest ergonomic findings.

This already starts with the floor space for the workstation: it must not be less than 8 square metres and 6 square metres must be added for each additional workstation. The office chair must be individually adaptable, allow changing sitting positions and support the body in all sitting positions. A permanently tiltable backrest enables dynamic sitting. Height-adjustable desks make it possible to adapt the workplace to the height of the employee. This enables a healthy posture. In addition, certain guidelines for monitor workstations must be observed - such as viewing angles, separate keyboard, hand support, etc.

We plan these and many other requirements for you with our WSM room systems - ergonomically and at the same time with optimum use of space.
