Warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d)

Our products must be stored safely and, if necessary, delivered to the customer quickly. In modern high-bay warehouses, our warehouse logistics specialists use forms, scales, packaging materials, means of transport and their own physical effort to ensure that goods receipt and dispatch run smoothly.

In the morning, the existing orders are checked. The first consignments of goods are packed and made ready for collection; the process is reversed for deliveries. For each process, there are documents that must be carefully read or completed. Do the type, quantity or weight match the details on the delivery or shipping document? If there are any discrepancies, they are clarified immediately by telephone and the case is resolved.

The right equipment is available for every storage location: High-rack stackers at height, trolleys and forklifts on the ground. It's a case of tackling, counting, weighing, packing, wrapping and labeling. At lunchtime, the forwarder collects the shipments ready for dispatch. WSM often delivers larger items such as bus shelters or room systems itself; our skilled workers help to load the trucks and also operate the wagon cranes. They also keep the storage facilities clean and tidy.

Careful and independent work as well as the willingness to tackle things literally are part of the requirement profile. The acquisition of forklift and crane licenses is just as much a part of the training as thorough instruction in all safety issues. During the three-year apprenticeship, you will also be trained in typical freight forwarding areas such as planning delivery tours; this specialization can take up a further year of training after passing the final examination.
