Funding for innovative mobility solutions

With the current call for funding from the Federal Ministry of Transport, companies, municipalities and research institutions can make their mobility concepts future-proof - with financial support of up to 60% of the project costs. The aim is to reduce traffic-related emissions through sustainable, digital and organizational innovations in corporate mobility management.

What is supported?

Funding is available for comprehensive implementation projects based on existing or planned mobility concepts in the following areas:

Employee mobility & commuter transportation
Fleet management & conversion to low-emission vehicles
Business trips & company transport
Customer and visitor transportation

The focus is on innovative measures that set an example:

Introduction of mobility budgets
Development of sharing or shuttle solutions
Digital platforms to promote multimodal mobility
Linking BMM with municipal traffic planning
Development of charging infrastructure or bicycle parking facilities

Municipalities and municipally owned companies
Universities and research institutions
Project networks of several partners

Funding amount and requirements

Company size	Straight-line amortization
Small companies	up to 60 %
Medium-sized companies	up to 50 %
Large companies	up to 40 %
Municipalities & universities	up to 80 %

Minimum volume: €200,000 in eligible expenditure
Not eligible: Existing staff
Eligible for funding: additional project staff, material expenses, digital tools, infrastructure measures

Deadlines and procedures

Submission of a project outline by August 11, 2025 via the easy-Online portal
If selected: Invitation to submit a formal application (expected from January 2026)
Project duration: Until June 30, 2027 at the latest
