Ashtray more than just a fashion accessory

What do smokers look for before they indulge in tobacco in their own home? After the lighter and ashtray, of course. Who simply throws ashes and "butts" on the floor? Smoking is not forbidden within your own four walls. No non-smoker protection law applies in the private sphere. Rather, it depends on the individual whether they show personal consideration. If you go outside the door, people present are protected from passive smoking. It goes without saying that ashtrays are also used there.

Ashtrays in public spaces

What about smoking outdoors? A strict smoking ban applies to catering establishments as part of the protection of non-smokers. Inevitably, the smokers group around an ashtray in front of the door. If there is no ashtray here, cigarette butts and other waste will lead to a litter problem. The area soon becomes unsightly. There is an increased need for cleaning. Ashtrays are an absolute must for such "smokers' corners" in order to keep tobacco ash and cigarette and cigar residues under control. The ashtray is also a very useful item in public areas. It is a kind of appeal to the guilty conscience. Who wants to pollute the environment while smoking?

Product variety of ashtrays

Wind or storm ashtrays, with or without lids, are particularly suitable for outdoor use. They can be anchored to the wall or firmly to the floor with a plate. If possible, a plate should be provided to make it easier to stub out cigarettes and prevent them from smoldering in the container. The decision for an ashtray, whether made of steel, concrete or another material, essentially depends on the location and the frequency of smoking. This ultimately determines the size and volume. All models should always have simple intervals for emptying and cleaning. With the right choice of material, damage caused by possible vandalism can be prevented. In this respect, the location, design and material for an ashtray should always be planned individually.
