Winter delights in late summer
The visitors were not astonished, they were put in a perfect wintry mood at this year’s trade fair for gardening and landscaping “GaLaBau” in Nuremberg, and that at late summer temperatures. To present its bus shelters and Bicycle parking systems, WSM had come up with something special and impressively equipped its stand with snow and a wind backdrop.
“More protection, more winter fun” was WSM’s trade fair motto, and since the company was the only supplier to anticipate the wet and cold season, it was sure to attract the interest of the public: “Our concept really surprised visitors and was very well received,” explains Andreas Hombach, Head of Sales Bicycle parking systems and roofing at WSM.
Protection from wind, snow and rain – WSM has been providing this for years with its roofing systems up and down the country. For some of its bus shelters, which are popularly used as weather-protected meeting places or passenger shelters, WSM now offers tested type statics that can save builders a lot of time and money.
Also on show in Nuremberg: Intelligent lighting systems for bus stops and reflective glass foils for a safe stay at dark parking spaces, Bicycle parking systems with future-proof E-charging stations and Bicycle lockers to protect against wind, vandalism and theft.
A broad portfolio for contemporary furnishing of public spaces that was well received: “We were able to make numerous new contacts with garden and landscaping planners from all over Germany and are therefore very satisfied with our visit to the fair,” Hombach sums up.
The organizer of the trade fair itself was also satisfied with this year’s GaLaBau: “The atmosphere at GaLaBau 2016 was simply great: full halls and intensive sales talks. GaLaBau has once again lived up to its name as the green industry get-together,” Stefan Dittrich, head of the GaLaBau department, told the press. According to the organizer, more than 64,000 trade visitors were counted, including ten percent visitors from abroad.
