Bicycles are not only driven away, but often carried away. Many insurance policies therefore differentiate between locked and attached. Insurance cover usually only applies if the frame of the bike is connected to a firmly anchored object. frame to a firmly anchored object (e.g. stand/part of the building) using a lock.

DISABLE:
The lock only blocks the rear wheel or the drive, for example.
