Versatile and varied
Hardly any invention has changed the world as much as the Internet. It serves as a source of information, communication channel and sales channel and is ubiquitous nowadays - also at WSM. As part of our marketing department, our e-commerce clerks perform diverse and exciting tasks around our webshop every day, making a crucial contribution to our success.
The heart of every web store and therefore an important task of this job description is the product information. This data must be obtained for new products and prepared in a structured manner. If they change, they must be updated. Another area of responsibility is online marketing measures, which must be designed, implemented and checked for effectiveness by the e-commerce clerk. Communication with customers is also on the list of activities: Questions want to be answered and complaints processed. Finally, in times of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it is also important to ensure that personal data is handled in compliance with the law.
Our e-commerce clerks take on these diverse and varied tasks in a highly professional team with a relaxed working atmosphere that encourages creativity, and supported by state-of-the-art office equipment. As with all apprenticeships in our company, the aim here is to quickly take on responsibility and work independently.
Online affinity is understandably a necessity for this training profession. Also required is a good to very good knowledge of German and also English, since language is one of the most important communication media in marketing and the Internet is primarily English-speaking. Analytical and structured thinking skills are an advantage. Ideally, our budding e-commerce merchants are also interested in business topics, especially in the area of marketing.
Required qualification: Higher commercial school or high school diploma
Training duration: 3.0 years
