Sayings often do not take it so exactly: If someone promises “the blue of the sky”, another is still “green behind the ears”, then it is up to everyone to decide which colors he thinks of.

Especially in the cold and wet seasons, the question arises whether already existing shelters for passengers, customers and employees are sufficient or whether investments should be made in new stops or shelters. To be able to calculate the need, we propose a basis of calculation.

Jörg Dettmar has headed the Department of Design and Open Space Planning at the Faculty of Architecture at Darmstadt Technical University (TU) since 2001, conducting research and training architects in the Urban Design and Urban Planning Group.
